Highlands Veterinary Center now offers Laser Surgery

We at Highlands Veterinary Center are very concerned about pain management in pets.  In keeping with this theme in our clinic, we have recently invested in the latest technology for our surgeries, an Aesculight Carbon Dioxide Laser.  This Laser seals nerve endings, significantly reducing post-operative pain.

You may have read about the latest advances in veterinary medicine with the Aesculight CO2 laser.  One of those advances represents the first significant improvement for cat declaws in over 20 years.  In April of 1997, the Laser Declaw Procedure (LDP) was developed right here in Chesapeake, VA.  If behavior modification is not working or not feasible to prevent a cat from scratching, then we want to offer the least painful alternative for those clients who require this procedure.

We at Highlands Veterinary Center would like to invite you to ask questions about the Laser Declaw Procedure or any other Laser Procedure.  We would encourage you to educate yourself about this significant advance in technology.

There are many Laser Procedures that can greatly reduce the pain for all pets.  We would like to discuss these advances in Laser Surgeries with you.
